Regular Saver frequently asked questions
Why is my Regular Saver coming to an end?
What happens when my Regular Saver comes to an end?
Is there anything I need to do when my Regular Saver comes to an end?
No, there’s nothing you need to do. Around a month before your Regular Saver comes to an end, we’ll write to let you know that we’ll be transferring your money to an Easy Access Saver (7).
Easy Access Saver (7) has a variable rate so it could go up or down at any time. You might want to consider an account with a fixed interest rate, so if you’re happy to tie your money away for a period of time, you could consider a fixed rate account.
We have a range of available savings accounts where you can compare them to other providers’ using the comparison tool.
We’ll also send you a reminder before your savings are transferred. And then, when we’ve transferred your savings to your new account, we’ll write to you again to confirm that it’s happened.
What is Easy Access Saver (7)?
How do I manage Easy Access Saver (7)?
Online:
You can manage your account via Online Services.
You’ll need:
- Your account number
- Your Telephone Password
- Your email address
- An up-to-date phone number already held with us
- To be able to receive an automated call on that number to confirm it’s you.
If you aren’t registered already, you can easily register for Online Services. It only takes a few minutes. You’ll find all the information you need to log in and register in Online Services help.
Once set up for Online Services, you can download our app and manage your account straight away. Find out how to register the app on your device.
By phone:
Just call our UK-based Customer Service Centre on 0800 121 8899. Check the website for our current opening hours and make sure you have your Telephone Password and Telephone Grid Card to hand.

What if I already have an Easy Access Saver (7)?
What if I have regular payments set up on my Regular Saver?
Can I move my savings to a different account?
You can move some or all of your money to another savings account from the Easy Access Saver (7), either with us or with a different provider without charge. You can also close the account without charge if you want to.
Until your savings have been moved to Easy Access Saver (7), the Regular Saver Terms and Conditions will still apply, so if you take money out sooner you’ll be charged an amount equal to 30 days’ interest.
Can I open another Regular Saver?
If you want to carry on saving regularly, you can open another Regular Saver for 12 months. Just remember that you can only transfer money into it from an account you hold with another bank or building society, not from another Coventry Building Society account. You can also only have one Regular Saver at a time so if you want to open another one you have to wait until your account has come to the end of its 12 month term.
You can apply online, or call us and we can set it up for you.
