If you’re a new or existing customer of Coventry Building Society, Godiva Mortgages Limited or ITL and you apply for a mortgage or to change your existing mortgage between 28 September 2021 and 31 March 2022, you can apply for the Green Together Reward.
The Reward scheme is open to both residential and Buy to Let customers. Here’s the full list of who’s eligible:
New customers, if you’re:
A first time buyer
Remortgaging to us from another lender
Buying a new property and applying for a mortgage with us.
Existing customers, if you’re:
Applying for further borrowing
Transferring to a new mortgage
Porting your mortgage to a new property
Transferring equity in your property
Changing the term of your mortgage
Changing the repayment type of your mortgage (ie. from repayment to Interest-only)
Applying for a Consent to Let so that you can rent your property out temporarily.
Yes, if you’re a new or existing customer of Coventry Building Society, Godiva Mortgages Limited or ITL and you apply for a mortgage or to change your existing mortgage between 28 September 2021 and 31 March 2022, you’re eligible to apply.
There’s a minimum spend of £2,500 in order to qualify for our £500 reward. There are more than 20 energy-efficiency improvements that qualify and you can choose more than one (and up to six) as long as you meet the minimum spend. There’s no maximum limit to what you can spend.
To make sure you meet our criteria for the Green Together Reward, we’ll share some of your data with TrustMark. This will only be your postcode and details of the home improvements you tell us about on your claim form – never any personal information such as your name or details of the mortgage you hold with us.
When you send us your completed claim form, we’ll get in touch with TrustMark to check the details. As long as they can confirm the work has been carried out by a TrustMark Registered Business, and that you’ve reached our minimum spend of £2,500, we’ll pay your £500 Reward within 30 days.
It’ll go directly into the account you set up with us to make your mortgage payments. If you haven’t set up a Direct Debit for your mortgage payments, just call us on 0800 121 8899 and let us know where we should send your Reward.
The Registered Business you use must tell TrustMark when they’ve completed the work. If they don’t, we won’t be able to validate your claim and pay your Reward. If we contact TrustMark and they have no record of the work being completed, we’ll let you know. You’ll need to get in touch with the Registered Business to ask them to confirm the work with TrustMark.
If there’s a problem with the quality of the work, or you’re disappointed with the efficiency savings you’re making after the improvements have been carried out, you should raise the issue with the Registered Business you used.
Coventry Building Society isn’t responsible for any work that’s carried out under the Green Together Reward.
You can have as much work done on your property as you like, as long as you’ve met the minimum spend of £2,500, but you can only make one claim under the Green Together Reward for each mortgaged property with us.
If you have more than one property mortgaged with us, and you carry out eligible home improvements for each one, you can claim a Reward for each property. You’ll need to fill in a separate application form and claim form for each one.
