We’re changing some of our ISA terms and conditions

Effective from 6 April 2024, we will be updating all of our variable rate ISA Specific Terms with the following changes:

The minimum age to open a cash ISA is increasing from 16 to 18 (this does not apply to junior cash ISAs).

You must transfer your current tax year subscriptions (in or out of your cash ISA with us) in full, partial transfers are not allowed.

We have made some minor wording and punctuation amendments to help make our terms and conditions clearer.

You don’t need to do anything, these changes will automatically take effect from 6 April 2024.

We are making changes to our terms and conditions following the Government’s announcement to change the ISA rules and regulations.

We are currently looking into how we can enable you to fully benefit from these ISA regulation changes with us through our systems.

To open a new cash ISA with us from 6 April 2024, you must be at least 18 years old. If you aged 16 or 17 and already have a cash ISA with us, you can continue to hold and make subscriptions into your ISA.

You’re still only be able to pay some or all of your overall ISA subscription limit to one cash ISA with us. However, you’ll be able to subscribe any of your remaining allowance across multiple cash ISAs with different ISA providers.

You’ll still need to ‘re-activate’ your ISA with us if you haven’t paid in subscriptions during the previous tax year. Once your ISA is reactivated, you can subscribe to your ISA.

You’ll only be able to make current tax year subscription transfers (in or out of your ISA) in full. Partial transfers of current tax year subscriptions are not permitted.
