Supporters

Straightforward easy access accounts that help the causes you care about

Every year through our Supporters accounts, we donate an amount equal to 1% of the total balances held in support of each organisation. Our donation is separate from the interest you receive.

Just choose which organisation you’d like to support from the list below, and help us make a difference.

Willow Trust

Each year, around 7,000 disabled and seriously ill children and adults spend a day aboard a boat on the Gloucester-Sharpness Canal, organised by the caring volunteers at The Willow Trust.

Bath Rugby Foundation

Bath Rugby Foundation uses sport to help vulnerable children and young people tackle difficult challenges, such as unemployment and social isolation.

Forest Green Rovers

Forest Green Rovers FC is set to become the first truly sustainable football club in Britain. They’ve introduced low energy floodlights, a ground-based solar system and they plan to open an eco venue where school children can learn about sustainability.

Friends of the Hospital of St Cross

The Friends support the Hospital of St Cross in Rugby through fundraising appeals and volunteering.

Since 1955, they’ve donated more than £3.5million to buy equipment and support the development of services. This makes a real difference to the experience of patients attending the Hospital of St Cross, the Community and Mental Health Services in Rugby.

Longfield Hospice

Longfield Hospice provides specialist services including counselling and family support, drop-in sessions and complementary therapies to help people living with life-limiting illnesses in Gloucestershire.

PTAs (Parent Teacher Associations)

Through our supporters accounts we help more than 40 PTAs raise money for schools. And we donate 1% of the total balances held in support of each PTA.

Together we make a difference

The money raised from our Supporters accounts makes a real difference. Since 2007, we’ve donated over £241,000 which the Friends of the Hospital of St Cross have used towards equipment and projects, such as opening an in-patient Complex Sleep Studies unit.
If I have a Supporters account, what are the tax implications for me?
We donate to the organisation you choose to support - it doesn't come from your savings or you interest - so the donation has no tax implications for you. However, you're responsible for paying tax on any savings interest you earn over your Personal Savings Allowance.
Can Coventry Building Society support my charity / organisation?
Maybe. Small charities or community groups working within reach of our branch network can apply for a grant from our Charitable Foundation.
How much does the cause receive?

Every year we donate a sum based on the total balances held in support of your chosen organisation.

We don't attribute an amount to a specific account holder - we give the organisation one lump sum donation.
