Create an action plan to:
Understand your current and potential EPC. This tool gives an estimated EPC rating if you don’t have an up-to-date certificate on the EPC register
Find out your home’s carbon emissions
See current estimated energy costs* and potential savings (if you know the detail of your energy use from your bills, you will get tailored recommendations and more accurate potential energy savings)
See suggested home improvements based on the desired budget
Save, share and update it over time
*Energy Saving Trust estimate your annual energy costs based upon the information you’ve provided and using the most up-to-date Energy Price Cap for Gas and Electricity. The Energy Price Cap changes every three months, in January, April, July and October. Energy Saving Trust aim to update energy costs within two weeks of the new Price Caps implementation.
To get started
You’ll need to know some details about your property – how many rooms there are and what kind of heating system you have, for example. But if you don’t know the answer to a question the tool will automatically use suggested answers for you, based on what Energy Saving Trust know about the area you live in. The tool is a guide only, but it could give you some great ideas on how small changes could make a real difference.
